Holistic Aromatherapy is an individual form of healing which involves using pure Aromatherapy essential oils and touch to treat the entire person rather than just addressing the presenting symptoms. Stress is a very destructive influence, often causing seemingly unrelated physical symptoms on the body. The massage helps relieve tension, promote the drainage of lymph fluid and improve circulation, it will also help to rejuvenate the body, removing aches and pains and generally promote balanced good health. What to expect from your body massage treatment:
The first part of the treatment is taken up with a thorough discussion about yourself, lifestyle, sleep patterns, diet, medical history, medication and general state of health and mind. This part helps me to decide which oils are going to help you most, so the more we communicate, the more I can help. Please try to bathe or shower before an Aromatherapy treatment to ensure you get the most from the absorbtion of the essential oils. There are shower facilties and towels within my treatment area if you have come straight from work.
The second part involves us selecting up to three essential oils, most appropriate with your emotional and physical state.
A full body massage takes at least an hour and takes place in a warm relaxing treatment room designed to make sure you relax completely. Following the massage you will have an opportunity to sit and relax while I discuss some lifestyle and nutrition adjustments so that the benefits of the treatment are maximised.
